Light free-draining soil with a dusting of dolomite lime worked in. Don't plant too deeply. Grey foliage and single flowers of deep chalky pink with a darker eye. Little deep pink 'rosebuds' on fine stems. One of our most dependable and free-flowering dwarf varieties. Good on the rock garden, walls, paving, and especially recommended for beginners. H8cm x W40cm. Large palest pink raggedy-edged flowers on short stems during summer.

Good perfume, free-flowering and compact. Very showy glowing crimson flowers on strong stems. Relishes a moist fertile soil. Threadlike stems of wee yellow mustard blossoms in spring, summer, autumn. Rock gardens, troughs and planters. H10cm x W15cm. This dwarf form makes a tuft of downy grey foliage with golden yellow daisies on short stems in early summer. A sun-loving short-lived perennial perfect for troughs and rock gardens. Showy short-stemmed saucers which are larger and a richer pink than the usual form. H5cm x W20cm. These are all cream-flowered but the eye markings vary.
The foliage is banded rather than spotted as in E. Winter dormant bulb, flowering in spring. Sun or part sun. Free-draining fertile soil. Glossy bright green unmarked foliage.
